At AmnestyBrum, we rely on donations from our members and the public to support our work for human rights.  This means that each year we need to do some fundraising, and there are two ways that you can help out in the next 2 months:

1. Group subs – we ask members of the group for a donation (if they can afford it) towards the running of the group – suggested donation £4 for the year.  You can pay by cash at our next meeting (12th Feb) or use the donate button on the top right of our blog.

2. Solihul street collection – on Sat 28th March, Solihull Amnesty are organsing their annual street collection.  If you are able to volunteer for a couple of hours that day, please email amnestybrum@gmail.com . You’ll be provided with an official collecting tin and ID badge (as well as a cup of tea or coffee when you’re finished!)

Many thanks for your generosity. All money donated will be used for our campiagning work for human rights.

Amnesty members from across Birmingahm linked up in Solihull last weekend to rattle some tins for Amnesty and try to raise a bit of cash for our groups.

Having got lucky with the weather, it ended up being a pleasant way to spend a couple of hours, helped along by some background jazz provided by nearby buskers, and the generosity of the lovely shoppers of Solihull!

Anyway, the totals are in, and having agreed that each group would keep what they raised, we can add a grand total of £39 to AmnestyBrum`s coffers!  Thanks to everyone from all the groups who took part, and especailly to anyone who donated – hopefully we can maintain a presence in future years, and keep this as a regular fundraiser in our calendar.
