It’s coming up to the anniversary of Ales’ arrest and imprisonment on entirely trumped up political charges and the Belarusian authorities must be made to realise that the world is never going to stop watching them until Ales and other political prisoners are freed. I just came across this video on the Free Ales website and it’s the best – and shocking – picture of what led up to Ales’ arrest:
With Ales’ latest appeal having been turned down, it seems the authorities in Belarus are too frightened to allow this brave campaigner his voice, so the rest of the world will have to try and be a voice for him: FREE ALES BIALIATSKI!
